Finlay Gigs: From The First Call to the Final Chord

As you might have spotted on my socials, Finlay Gigs has had a rebrand!

After a little over a year, I decided it was time for a refresh. And after a soft launch with clients last week, I'm thrilled to finally show it off properly.
With this redesign, I wanted to communicate something about how I actually work. Musicians are often heard and not seen at weddings. Too often peripheral, and easy to overlook. They're part of the entertainment, not part of the day.
And with that, musicians tend not to get too involved in the planning process. Couples pick a few songs from a repertoire, and the musician fills in the rest on the day.
Some don't even offer that: they play the same songs, the same sets, every time.
But I've always wanted to work with couples who feel differently: who want music at the heart of their day.
That's why these words sit at the centre of everything I do:
"From the first call, to the final chord."
My service goes much further than turning up and playing a few songs. That means:
> I arrange a consultation call BEFORE clients even book.
> I stay in touch as couples plan — NOT just the bare minimum.
> I discuss each couple's vision for the day, WITHOUT generic form-filling.
> I tailor my service to every wedding, because EVERY couple is unique.
This new logo is about more than self-promotion. It's about making a case for something: music shouldn't be a commodity. It should showcase who a couple actually are.
If music matters to you, it shouldn't be an afterthought — it should sit alongside your photographer, your florist, your celebrant.
And the musician you choose should take that responsibility seriously.
